In 2019, we had the pleasure to see Perrine Madoeuf performing the vocally extremely demanding role of Countess Adèle in Rossini’s Le Comte Ory. It took place at the Opéra de Rouen and it was a triumph. The specialized press commented enthusiastically “the evidentially belcanto-specialist’s luxuriant sound and vocal flexibility as well as the pure clearness of her coloratura and phrasing” (Resmusica), “her instinctiveness and communicative energy” (ODB-Opéra), her “seductive timbre and masterly control of complex phrases in diverse registers” (Olyrix) and “her striking vocal implicitness” (Forumopera).
