Back as Tamino after the world premiere of Quai Ouest

A few weeks ago, Julien Behr made sensation at the Opéra national du Rhin in the stunning world premiere of Quai Ouest by Régis Campo (after a play by Bernard-Marie Koltès). His performance was welcomed enthousiastically by the critics. Here some reviews' extracts.

"Charles, the pivot character of the action, finds a worthy interpreter with Julien Behr" (Forum Opéra, 05.10.2014), "the tenor Julien Behr in the role of Charles is a revelation: marvellously clear and luminous timbre, lyrical lightness and suppleness, but where needed with focus and vocal projection - first class!" (Deutsche Bühne, 29.09.2014); "Julien Behr impresses as Charles in his monologue "Adieu moricaud"" (L'Alsace, 09.10.2014); "perfect Julien Behr" (Classica, November 2014); "the tenor Julien Behr offerst the most beautiful vocal composition of this production" (Concert Classic, 01.10.2014).

Julien Behr now takes on once more one of the roles that have given him the reputation of a Mozart tenor. He will sing Tamino in a new production of The Magic Flute at the Opera of Bern. Opening night on 23 November 2014.
