For his fourth opera-production of the season - following Cosi fan tutte in Hamburg, Carmen in Essen and Médée in Saarbrücken - Sébastien Rouland is getting back to the Opéra Comique in Paris again. At this venue he already presented Les aventures du Roi Pausole, a thrilling operetta by Arthur Honegger in 2004. This time Sébastien is taking the lead of a more or less forgotten masterwork which had a triumphal acceptance when being premiered at the Opéra Comique in 1836: Le postillon de Lonjumeau by Adolphe Adam. However, since 1894 this piece was not performed there anymore. Staging of the new-production now by Michel Fau.
