Peter Sonn acts the Steuermann of Daland's ship in the new production of "Der fliegende Holländer" bei Wagner at the Berlin State Opera, Schillertheater.

After the spectacular opening night of Mozart's "Zauberflöte" at the Komische Oper, in which he successfully sang the role of Tamino, the current opera season has a second premiere in Berlin ready for Peter Sonn: Together with the ensemble of the State Opera, he debutes as Steuermann in "Der fliegende Holländer" on 28 April 2013.

Under the staging by Philipp Stölzl and the musical direction of Daniel Harding, this opera will also be played at the Berlin State Oper in May 2013. Peter Sonn sang the role of Steuermann for the first time in a new production at the Landestheater in Innsbruck in 2007. After his debut at the Berlin State Opera, he there will take on the role of Walter von der Vogelweide in the new production of "Tannhäuser" by Wagner in the coming season.
