The chameleonic performer Anja-Nina Bahrmann gives audience and theatre management a run for their money when rating her with stereotyped thinking. Sensible Pamina’s heartbeat on the one hand, Musetta’s lascivious attitude on the other hand, Zdenka’s tomboyish character or the tragic lounge lizard Violetta Valery, always discrete personalities which need to be portrayed with different vocal colours and most diverse acting subtleties. And then an extra bizarre primadonna within a number one opera comedy about the absurd life on stage and backstage!
Rolando Villazón’s last season staging of Gaetano Donizetti’s Viva la mamma (original title: Le convenienze ed inconvenienze teatrali) is being revived and Anja-Nina Bahrmann can demonstrate her comic talent and her belcanto skills as Primadonna Corilla once again on January 29th and 27th as well as on February 14th and 18th, 2016. This year’s series has Wolfram Maria Märtig at the conductor’s desk.
