Elsa Dreisig has just been awarded the First female Prize at the renowned "Neue Stimmen"-Competition of the Bertelsmann Foundation at the Glocke in Gütersloh (Germany) which makes her rise as a new star of the vocal art heaven. The French-Danish soprano already demanded attention this summer when receiving the Second Prize of the Queen Sonja International Music Competition in Oslo. With the current season she is joining the Opera Studio of the Berlin State Opera. Having been cast as Papagena originally, Daniel Barenboim’s Berlin opera company immediately realized her outstanding talent and moved her on to Pamina in Mozart’s Magic Flute, an opera which she was completely familiar with in the early age of five years. We join Elsa`s happiness after the important competition success and congratulate her for her impressing career step. A most sincere Toi-Toi-Toi for the challenging season which awaits her!
