After having discovered the strange and mysterious island of "Bosch Beach“ (the fascinating opera by Vasco Mendonça which premiered a few weeks ago at LOD Muziektheater), Marion Tassou is now getting to L’île du rêve (The island of dreams) by Reynaldo Hahn, a new production of the Théâtre de l’Athénée in Paris. Upon the world-premiere of this „Polynesian idyll in 3 acts“ Jules Massenet wrote to his pupil Reynaldo Hahn: „Your island of dreams, this is where I want to return! To return speedy! Oh! It’s beautiful! Egads!“ Let’s therefore rush to the Athénée in order to enjoy L’île du rêve and "the creamy and smoothly drawn vocal line of soprano Marion Tassou" (Frankfurter Rundschau).
