We announce gladly that Anja-Nina Bahrmann entrusted us with her representation recently and we feel privileged to begin our collaboration right away with a premiere engagement and a debut at an important opera-house: The German soprano will celebrate her debut with the Düsseldorf Rhine-Opera as Zdenka in the opening night of Richard Strauss‘ Arabella on September 18th, 2015. The new production is directed by Tatjana Gürbaca and conducted by Lukas Beikircher; in leading roles Jacquelyn Wagner as Arabella, Simon Neal as Mandryka and Corby Welch as Zdenka’s partner Matteo.
Arabella’s sister Zdenka is one of the most desired leading roles for any high lyric soprano; therefore a great desire has been fulfilled for Anja-Nina Bahrmann in 2014 too when she managed to acquire this role for the first time at the National Theatre Tokyo under the leading team Philippe Arlaud and Bertrand de Billy. Following great predecessors like Anneliese Rothenberger, Lucia Popp and Marie McLaughlin she personalizes this part now for the first time in Europe - a significant step in the acclaimed young soprano’s career.
