The exquisit stylist and highly demanded vocal teacher Sylvia Greenberg gives one of her rare Viennese recitals with a very specific programme. A block of lied-classics by Schubert, Brahms, Wolf and Rossini is followed by French melodies and Jewish songs.
The Ehrbar Hall (1040 Vienna, Mühlgasse 30), sometimes called 'Small Musikverein', will be the acoustically excellent setting for this extraordinary event. On Sunday, 27 April 2014 at 08:00 p.m., Sylvia Greenberg and her partner, both in life and in music, David Aronson, will present music that comes from the heart.
For CD the two artists recorded a completely different programme: lieder by Korngold, Mahler, Bittner, Goldmark, Zemlinsky, Puccini, and others – put together under the aspect that all of them lived in or frequented a certain building in the 6th district of Vienna; given that the Greenberg-Aronson-family lives there today, turns it also into their own personal 'music of the house'.
